Stores and languages
Amazon is the main target. Fifteen other retailers are previews: built and tested, but not yet checked in normal shopping on the live site. This page says exactly what has been checked.
The store's product page and search results have been checked in a real browser on the live site, in normal use.
A public-page adapter is built and tested against saved pages. Live shopping checks are incomplete, so expect gaps.
A feature is not switched on for that store yet.
Saved-page tests and a local test harness do not count as a live check. The full evidence, store by store, is in the store notes.
Product pages, search results, carts and, on amazon.com, optional purchase history. The extension asks the browser for access to these stores when you install it.

Previews read the public product page. Where a label is readable it is scored; where it is missing the listing is marked and the product page offers a paste box. They never call the shared database, Open Food Facts, OCR or Google.
| Store | What was seen in live checks (October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Target | Product pages scored in Chrome. Search was only testable in some sessions because of the site's bot check. |
| Walmart | Public product pages read from the page's embedded ingredient list. Automated browsers are often met with a "Robot or human?" check. |
| Costco | Visible labels only. A product scores once its Nutritional Facts section is open. Heavy rate limiting means many search results show "Label unavailable", and the extension stops rather than retrying around it. |
| Instacart | Real scores on search and product pages, with the label read from the page's own data. A signed-out sign-up pop-up no longer hides the page. |
| Kroger | Search showed numeric ratings and products scored. |
| Fry's, King Soopers, Smith's | Products scored; King Soopers search ratings held steady through repeated checks. |
| Ralphs, Fred Meyer | Public product label read in a page fetch. Live browser checks could not be completed, so these are covered by saved-page tests. |
| Safeway, Albertsons | Live product pages scored. Search results did not render for the automated browser, so search is covered by saved-page tests only. |
| QFC, Harris Teeter, Dillons | Public labels read, but bot protection blocked live browser checks. |
Availability differs between sessions and queries. If a store shows no score for you, here is why.
The extra entries in Amazon's Sort by menu depend on how each store writes prices and sizes.
| Storefronts | Sort entries | Prices | Default units |
|---|---|---|---|
| amazon.com | On (preview) | US dollars | ounce, fluid ounce, count |
| .co.uk, .ie, .ca, .com.au, .sg, .in | On (preview) | £, €, C$, A$, S$, ₹ | 100 g, 100 ml, count |
| All other storefronts | Off | – | – |
"Default units" is what the menu offers first. The side panel can switch to any weight, volume or count unit.
Ingredient headings are recognised in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Swedish and Turkish, and scoring covers the same languages plus Portuguese. How well it works depends on how much real-world testing exists.
| Language | Status |
|---|---|
| English (.com, .co.uk, .ca, .com.au, .ie, .in, .sg, .ae, .sa) | Strongest Verbatim live captures, plus dozens of labels modelled on real products. |
| German, Spanish | Under-tested A synonym pack maps common words onto the English rules. No real label has been checked. |
| French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch | Under-tested Translated test lists only. |
| Swedish, Polish, Turkish | Under-tested Translated test lists score exactly like their English twins; real labels are unchecked. |
| Japanese, Arabic | Not supported The list is declined, and label-photo reading is switched off for these stores. |

Open Settings → Stores in the extension. It builds an email draft with the store name for you to review and send; the extension itself sends nothing. You can also email jackson29382938@gmail.com.
